Stories

Stories embody life in the world.

Some stories are epic and some are microscopic. Some stories are lush in description and some are laconic. Some stories are lucid in meaning and some are opaque. Yet stories – with the same fundamental components of plot, characterization, and setting – invite us into particular experiences of life, and people, and notions about it all.

Stories can imbibe us with passion.
Stories can arouse revulsion, laughter,
and delight.
Stories can hold us back and set us loose.
Stories can rebuke us, wound us, heal us, teach us, and call us beyond ourselves.

Stories provide scaffolding for life in the world. And these links are invitations into life, lived out in worlds, that I've had the felicity to create.
